Some of these faces may look familiar to you. Perhaps you remember Caitlin from her senior portraits back in 2009 or maybe Ethan who just graduated this year, 2012- or even sweet Chloe who I had a chance to photograph over the summer in beautiful Williamsburg, VA. It has definitely been my pleasure to work with Jon and Lisa and their family over the years. Our families have been connected almost 12 years, when Jon became and will forever be known as, Coach Jon. We all met through soccer and have stayed in touch and spent much time together. I’ve also had the pleasure of meeting Jim and Penny Tedlock – Lisa’s parents and Helen and Gary Paves – Jon’s parents. I knew Ethan was going to be leaving home for college – and far from home he has traveled, so I wanted to make sure we took a bit of time beforehand to capture a few special moments for the family (and me too!). I encouraged the grandparents to come – because if they are like most grandparents, they have many beautiful images of the grandkids but not many, if any, that include themselves. It is so important to get those portraits taken… I cannot stress this enough. This one afternoon – barely an hour out of the day and now forever, they will be able to look back and remember this special time together. What greater gift could you give – to the grandparents, the parents and the grandkids! Thank you for allowing me to spend some time with you all!
